Luis Alberto Spinetta, Rock Poet. Luis Alberto Spinetta or “El Flaco” was great compositor, writer of poems and singer of the Latin American’s rock for three decades. He composed popular songs like Muchacha ojos de papel and Todas las hojas son del viento. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1950. He was a guitarist self-taught and created your first band in 1967 called Almendra at the age of seventeen years old. He participated in many bands and created more than forty disc during all his life. He died in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2012, at the age of sixty-two year old. Their musical works are known to have that beautiful lyrics and developed progressions harmonic. A BEAUTIFUL TIME OF MY LIFE This photo is the beginning of the great concert in Duoc Causiño's Theater, Valparaiso with a beautiful musical project called "Homenaje a Luis Alberto Spinetta" in the year 2015. I chose to show this photo because it was one of the concert with more popularity of all project. When I lived in Quillota, I and one friend (Sebastian Tapia) decided to do one band that to play songs by latin american's composer. With the time we talk about the projecto with another frinds and we are a band of five musicians (two guitar, electric bass, piano and drummer). Always we played and prepared the concerts in Olmue, in the house of the drummer. This is the fifth concert with the band and the sponsorship of the Escuela Moderna de Musica in Valparaiso. In this concert we played discs such as Almendra, Artaud, A 18' minutos del sol, Bajo Belgrano, Un Mañana, etc.

My Current Musical Proyect The name of my current musical proyect is Color Munay. This proyect it’s very young, we started in april. The guitarist and composer of the band, Rosario Castillo she called me for play the double bass in his songs and after we met to the other frieds, the clarinettist Rodrigo and The charangista Diego. Rosario composed all songs that we have currently and she have participated in many competitions with his first songs, in which have won some awards. We would like to record a disc this year in some recording studio and make a great premiere concert where they can go to listen our music. The day 3rd of july we want to participate in the competition Luis Advis with the song Decimas, made by Rosario Castillo and musicalized by all band.

My Favorite Technology Tool

The technological device that I chose is the metronome. It indicates the tempo or pulse of the musical compositions, regularly producing a signal, which can be visual and/or acoustic, that allows musicians that we use it keep a constant pulse when we are executing a musical piece. The first metronome was invented by the moors in the IX century, and it was mecanic. But nowadays, with the technology development electronic metronomes were created that reach high levels of accuracy in terms of the pulse. I use this device every day in my personal study, it helps me ordering the music and let me study it at different speeds according to it’s difficulty. Also, in the musical interpretation career, the professors always recommend and sometimes they even demand the use of this apparatus when a new piece begins to study. That is why this device is very important to me.

My expectations for this semester

My expectations for this term are to pass all the subject of the university and I would like give a good concert with the orchestra, this first program we play Mozart and Hansel und Gretel by Humperdinck. Also, I’m participating in a musical project with a great friend, she have any song for to record your first disc where I will play the double bass and electric bass. My expectations with the beautiful projects is achieve a good recording and that our music the listen all. Finally, in another musical proyect called Red de las Artes, we can achieve funding and musician that want to play in his orchestra. This program is directed by Carl Hammond, a great director and teacher of music. Well, good term for all!
